Signed up for autopay went well for a while then started to tell me could not get the money and was charged late fees and return check fees provided prove that the money was there amd still your company would not refused to take off charges and even if the money wasn't there i have overdraft protection no attempt was made to withdraw payments dropped company

My dissatisfaction with Selective is with the local agent / agency. They are afraid to answer questions detailed questions. I had a auto claim 1 1/2 yrs ago including a personal injury claim which, all things considered was handled promptly and professionally.

I find Selective a bit less proactive than my former provider. I also find the website less accessible. Finally, I am trying to figure out why my rate increased this past billing period. I am checking other carriers for better rates. My driving record is clean and as I age I drive less yet my rates increase.If that's based on other driver's issues, I find that unfair to me.

We are very happy with the cost of the coverage we were able to obtain with Selective. Since we have never filed a claim and hope to never have to file a claim, I am not able to consider that aspect in my evaluation. Some of the emails we receive are informative, and others are not. Since we are now approach our 70s we have been around for a while and have learned a lot about owning a house, property, and cars, so some of the information is repetitive. Not that you should not provide it since others may not have had our experience.

Upon renewal you raised my auto coverage because of an accident that was totally not my fault or that Selective had to pay for. The driver that hit me accepted the blame and I billed her insurance. I will therefore be doing business with another company.

I've had only 1 claim which was to replace a cracked windshield. The replacement was handled to my satisfaction with SafeLite. I have not yet been able to figure out how to view all of my 3 policies on line. My intent is to eventually stop by my agents office to see if they can assist.

Have NO claims experience, fortunately. While we switched to Selective a number of years ago because the premiums were very good, I find that in the last several years that premiums have jumped. Selective now uses insurance scores and even though we are almost at the very top of the scores, rates are still high. At one point, we were in nearly the LOWEST Tier rating for the : a 0B or 0C out 0f 39 tiers. Now at tier 22 out of many more, but RELATIVELY STILL higher. REMEMBER...... NO CLAIMS.

I have never had to deal with rude people when you have to make a claim. When we made a claim on our swimming pool the person who came out, pretty much called my husband a liar. He also said he had to have an engineer come out and look at the pool which I already knew that she would side with the insurance company because she works for you. She said the reason the pool collapsed was because of erosion at the bottom of the pool, well the pool collapsed it done so at the top so her explanation made no sense. If the pool had erosion at the bottom of the pool that's where it should have collapsed right? Then we had a car that something popped up from the road and put a hole in the motor or transmission we don't know because we weren't told, they totaled the car. We are the ones having to do all the paperwork on the wreck. When we had insurance years ago and my son totaled his car we did not have to do one thing the insurance done everything. Now the car is still not paid for and we are still dealing with this, as soon as this is over we will be shopping for new insurance. I have talked to the rudest people at Selective and I will never do it again, after the pool which the lady flat out lied I knew that the car was going to be a huge deal. I also called the adjuster when I found out where they took the car because it is the most expensive place you could take a car too!! Like I said very rude people and I am not happy with Selective at all.

The annual price increases are ridiculous. My wife and I have had no accidents no points no claims, and yet 15 to 20% annual increases aren't not out of the norm. I would think a company like yours would want to keep people like my wife and myself With steady rates. I can't wait to see what the upcoming increases will be this year. It might be time to move on to another company again, which does the same thing.
